We went to Legoland which was brilliant. The lego village was amazing. I was even brave enough to go on a few roller coasters with Jason and Patrick. Must be getting daring in my old age - lol !
We also went on the London Eye
It was a clear day and we got some terrific views. Hotel was lovely and food wonderful but now back to reality and a huge amount of laundry :-(
All around my room are funny strips of fabric -
these are on my desk
these are on my sewing machine
these are draped off my noticeboard
and this just keeps getting moved about.
So wish me luck - hopefully next post I can show some progress.
Now I am absolutely hopeless at naming quilts. Usually they just get called things like Mum's green quilt and Jess's pink quilt. Well I am breaking the mould with this one and calling it The Wonder Quilt. I am wondering how big it will be as I haven't a clue. And it will be a blinking Wonder if I ever get it done - lol ! My sewing time is a bit limited just now with the kids school holidays and Jason working from home. And every time I sit down and sew some-one or something needs my attention. Anyone feel like renting a garden shed out to me ???
Have a good weekend xx

You can have our garden shed. Mine wants to put me in there, but it would be a cold walk in the evenings LOL!
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I wish I could get as much quilting done as you do. I live in Utah in the United States but my husband is from Wales. We were able to visit there two years ago. What a beautiful place! I can't wait to go back.
Your wonder quilt is such pretty colours!! It will be lovely.
Good luck with finding sewing time.
Beautiful quilt in progress!!
Pretty quilt! Love the way it is shaping up. The legos are fascinating.
You really made me LOL with the 'blinking Wonder' comment! Sounds as if the boys are mending well. Love, love, love the quilt in progress.
I think the quilt is quite lovely, I even like the strips on your board. Of course, you will get it done, eventually! Glad you had a great time in London.
You can come to me!
Lovely quilt, as usual. Life gets rough when you can't find the time to sew! Tell them you need a couple hours holiday and to not bother you until XX hours, LOL.
Cheers
That's similar to a Round the World' isn't it. I made one as a wall hanging...very effective when quilted. Good luck
Love the pics.
Good Luck with the quilt but if all else fails I'm only a few hours away
love and hugs Gina xxx
Come and share my dining room with me!
I recignise some of those fabrics. We'd have to be careful not to get our projects mixed up.
I can't believe that those giraffes were made from Legos....WOW. What a wonderful mini vacation you had.
Love this post... happy even if a bit frustrated because of the UFO... sounds like the story of my life too. You could have my entire walkout space if you wish!
Sorry no garden shed but I do have a spare table in my sewing room !
Colours are lovely on your strips, keep on sewing
Hi Andrea, Can't wait to see how the quilt turns out!
I took hexagons on our recent break too - managed to get a small amount done.
Oh those fabrics are so wonderful..together. Awesome. I pulled weeds that got way too tall out of my garden. Nice and cool in NEbraska USA 69'.sew peacefully DEB};o
I like the name of your quilt. I think I have a few "wonder quilts" waiting in my sewing room. Yep, "wonder when I will get them done" quilts, that's what they are. :-) I don't have a garden shed you can use but I do have a spare bedroom. :-)
