It has got Patricks seal of approval anyway. He is 11 and getting difficult to please. He says it's "mint" - lol ! and that Chris will like it.
It measures 36inches by 48inches as it stands and will have borders of 6 inches all round. Should be just right for Chris to snuggle up in on the coach. I will put polar fleece on the back for warmth.
As the blocks were nice and quick I'm going to have a go at mitring the borders - I've only done it once before. I will try to get that far today. I'm doing the bare minimum of housework - some things are more important - haha !
Oh what fun I'm having ...

I knew you could di it...and I love the look of post and rail, quick or not quick...are we planning to tie it while basted and save on quilting time! Or can you manage to fit in quilting as well?
Thanks for the quilt as you go tute, Tracey
Love the colours and the block- great job!
PERFECT! Perfect block, pattern and color for this quick turn around quilt. And it looks sooo cool! Quilting will be easy too!! And hey it's only Tuesday! You have 3 more days, plenty of time :D
You are fast! Like Tracey, I knew you could it. The colors look great together and I think they are perfect for your nephew.
I always think blue and tan together like that are real cowboy colours - perfect for a teenage boy. Fence rail is such a fun pattern to do and grows so fast - always avoid triangles if you're in a hurry (and for me even if you're not) is my motto. Polar fleece removes the need for wadding and is great to snuggle up to too - a winner all round I'd say Andrea - go girl!
I'm sure he'll love it Andrea! I do!
You are a good aunt!
I cant believe how quickly you've made that one, tops take me forever

Hi Andrea,
Oh, fabulous! I love the way the polka dots pop out. Lucky nephew!
Andrea in Minnesota, USA
Definitely a winner. Love the colors! You're speedy!!
It's really great for a teenage boy. Heck, it's great for anyone, but PERFECT for a boy!
Thats looking seriously good. Still routing for you here, but I think you'll finish on time.
My teens would love it if you want to whip up a few more!! I love how the colors look together, and that was very quick!
love the colors! rail fence quilts are one of my favorites
It looks great! I am impressed that you got all this done in spite of not feeling well.
Have you done a fleece back on a quilt before? I have never thought of doing that.
This story reminds me of the days I was still sewing garments and my friend Denise and I would get these 2 hour patterns to make dresses for our daughters and the night before Christmas, Easter, the pageant or whatever the event the dress was required for - we would be up sewing for 8 hours through the night to finish it by morning. So I never really trusted that "2 hour Pattern" description, and still have major doubts about the Quilt in a Day series of patterns- although I will admit they do go together quickly - - its just that DAY description makes me wonder Just how long her day is. Mine certainly is in a different time dimension!!!
It looks fabulous Andrea I'm sure your nephew will love snuggling under it. It's a very quick and simple design that has fabulous results.
Yes of course you will finish, this will make a great quilt.
This is looking great; you did a fabulous job of finding fabrics for a 15 year old boy. Looks like you will get it finished in time, your so fast.
Great selection of fabrics - perfect for a 15 years old boy :)
My second quilt (the one on my bed) is a rail-fence, so I have a soft spot for that pattern. I'm glad he likes it!
Most excellent! Nothing like a pending deadline to get a fire under your hiney. Not that you were ever a slouch to begin with, LOL!
Seriously, I love the quilt. Great colors and assortment of fabrics!
Yes...this says "I'm a boy's quilt"! Great job! Isn't it wonderful to have your quilts appreciated...what a wonderful compliment from a teenage boy!
The colours look great - perfect pattern for a young boy. Well done!
I love the scrappiness of this, and it sounds divine with the fleece on the back! I don't know how long you've had the new header, but I love it :-)
Great quilt, nice colours for a young fellow, I am sure he will be thrilled...
Love the colors of your quilt. I love making those too.
