I am surely one of the last to post about this years swap but have good reasons. Some of you know what my family is going through at the moment and just now I don't feel ready to talk about it properly. Thanks for your understanding and feel free to send any prayers this way :-)
I loved my SSCS gift and thanked my partner privately although this post is very late. This is what arrived at my home made by Cheryl - sorry can't get the links working - my brain is tired...
It is far lovelier in real life and such a lot of work - beautiful embroidery !! I will look after this and it will grace my bed every Christmas for years to come... Thankyou so much Cheryl...
And heres what I sent to Jenny.
And because in spite of all that is going on at the moment I really, really needed to sew and this afternoon I cleared a bit of time and had a few blissful hours to myself. I have decided to join the soscrappy Saturday challenge. This months colour is pink and I have lots of pink scraps and had picked my block so got my first one done. Here it is
Heres is the link . . Think I've got this one to work..
I also put together 1 block for Bonnie Hunters mystery quilt - I am way behind on this but really want to get it done within the next couple of months. However it might not bode well as this block has already got to be unpicked - yikes.
Take care xx

The basket weave star is a great stash buster block. Thanks for the link.
Love the pink block! I'm not adding any new projects at the moment but it's cool!
So sorry things continue to be difficult. I had hoped that things were improving. I think of you often, blessed be.
I almost went with the basket weave star - how pretty it looks all done up in pretty pinks!
How great to see you. I have to agree, the pink scrappy block is Yippie!!! Wrapping you in prayer as well. *karendianne.
Your pink block is exquisite!
Love your pink block. The block design is great.
Sending prayers out to you as I type. I hope and pray that things get better for you. Keep up with your sewing, it is wonderful therapy! I'm working on getting a sewing room put together as I have just moved in with my father to help him. I'm going through quilty withdrawals.
Blessings...
So happy to see you in blogland again Andrea!
LOVE your block...what a great scrapbuster!
Sending healing thoughts your way!
Love the pink basket weave star. I think a put that one on my list of maybe for this year. Great way to use little strips of scraps. Your Easy street looks good.
Hope your problems sort themselves out, not a good way to start the year. Keep busy with your hands, sewing, knitting, embroidery, it really does help your mental state. Prayers on their way, Mereth
What an adorable block - thanks for the link!
I had to look and look and look to see why you had to unpick the mystery quilt block, finally saw it in the corners. But I absolutely love your colors and the white background. It will be a stunning quilt!
Beautiful projects. LOVE your pink star.
Creating clears the mind.
My seam ripper seems to be my constant companion as I work on these Easy Street blocks :(
I do love the star. I'm still pretty new and don't know how to make this yet. The other block is great, even with one corner different- if that is the problem. I made a quilt for my granddaughter purposely making one slight change that completely destroyed the anticipated pattern, just to be different.
Gorgeous cushion for your SSCS gift...that apple fabric is so fun perfect choice for an apron, love it...and I'm really liking the colours you chose for Easy Street, loving seeing all the different versions about the place and yours is going to look fabulous in those colours...great pink star too...I hope things get better for your family soon, hugs...
Hugs. Love your block and so happy you are joining the challenge this year . Sending some prayers your way.
